PKC’s HWGP is an ultra high molecular weight ceramic impregnated plastic polymer.  HWGP is ideal for high load, high speed and severe sliding abrasion applications.  It is a shatter-resistant economic alternative to sintered ceramics; reducing parts wear and machine maintenance downtime. Its high tensile strength and wear resistance have been successful in the lumber, paper, agricultural, steel, and now wire drawing industries.

Manufacturing

PKC can manufacture new HWGP sheaves that will meet, and exceed the wear life of the standard UHMW or Nylon sheaves.  New sheave can be manufactured from information taken from a supplied new sample or drawing.  The lead time for initial orders is approximately 5 to 6 weeks.  Stocking programs may be available for large quantity usage.  PKC’s HWGP should be the material of choice.
