Parkway Kew now offers a ceramic
impregnated plastic that fills a niche when wear is more severe than UHMW
and not severe enough for either tungsten carbide or ceramic sheaves.
In larger quantities these sheaves can be quite inexpensive. They can
be supplied with bearing directly pressed into the plastic bore or encased
in a steel hub. Parkway Kew will provide a quote from either your
drawings or your sample part.

| Pistons for Forklifts and Earth Moving Equipment |
Parkway Kew has developed an extremely dense and wear resistant tungsten carbide coating to replace pistons on hydraulic cylinders on forklifts, earth moving equipment, dump trucks, and other hydraulic applications. The tungsten carbide coating is ground to a high surface finish similar to chrome plating and lasts 2-3 times longer. Cost savings for recoating with tungsten carbide are normally a third or more over chrome plating. In addition to the added life another advantage is the cylinder does not have to have any dings repaired prior to coating as with chrome plating.
